Le 24 septembre 2025, \u00e0 New York, en marge de la 80e Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Nations unies<\/strong>, des chefs d'\u00c9tat africains ont r\u00e9uni des\ndirigeants mondiaux \u00e0 l'occasion d'un \u00e9v\u00e9nement de haut niveau, tirant la\nsonnette d'alarme face \u00e0 l'escalade des menaces qui p\u00e8sent sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9\nsanitaire mondiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sous le th\u00e8me puissant "Unis pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sanitaire mondiale", cet\n\u00e9v\u00e9nement de haut niveau a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9 par une alliance strat\u00e9gique de deux\ncoalitions majeures : le R\u00e9seau des dirigeants mondiaux pour la sant\u00e9 des\nfemmes, des enfants et des adolescents, pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 par le pr\u00e9sident de l'Afrique du\nSud, Cyril Ramaphosa, et l'Alliance des dirigeants africains contre le paludisme\n(ALMA), dirig\u00e9e par le pr\u00e9sident du Botswana, Duma Gideon Boko. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette union symbolise une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 essentielle: la lutte contre les maladies \u00e9vitables, comme le paludisme, ne peut \u00eatre dissoci\u00e9e de la mise en place\nde syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 solides.<\/strong> Un enfant sauv\u00e9 du paludisme par une moustiquaire doit \u00e9galement avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des soins n\u00e9onatals de qualit\u00e9 et \u00e0 une nutrition ad\u00e9quate. La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sanitaire n'est pas un acte unique, mais la somme de nombreuses interventions diff\u00e9rentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre 2021 et 2025, l'aide publique au d\u00e9veloppement pour la sant\u00e9 en Afrique a\ndiminu\u00e9 d'environ 70 %, malgr\u00e9 l'exacerbation des disparit\u00e9s, des conflits et des\nmouvements de population qui ont accru les besoins et la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 des citoyens\ntouch\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, l'aide publique au d\u00e9veloppement (APD) dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 a connu une baisse significative. Les dirigeants africains ont pr\u00e9venu que sans un financement urgent et durable, des programmes essentiels risquaient de s'effondrer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les dirigeants africains ont plaid\u00e9 en faveur d'innovations \u00e9prouv\u00e9es, appelant l'Association internationale de d\u00e9veloppement (AID) de la Banque mondiale \u00e0 mettre en place un deuxi\u00e8me programme pour renforcer la lutte contre le paludisme. Le premier programme (phases I et II), qui s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 de 2005 \u00e0 2015, a permis d'investir des millions de dollars dans la lutte contre le paludisme, de pr\u00e9venir des millions de cas et de sauver des vies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pr\u00e9sence de l'Alliance des leaders africains contre le paludisme (ALMA)<\/strong>aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du pr\u00e9sident Boko a rappel\u00e9 avec force qu'aucune s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sanitaire n'est possible tant que des maladies \u00e9vitables et traitables telles que le paludisme continuent de faire des victimes. L'\u00e9radication du paludisme n'est pas seulement une bataille sanitaire ; c'est un imp\u00e9ratif strat\u00e9gique pour renforcer la r\u00e9silience des syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 et lib\u00e9rer le potentiel des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement a soulign\u00e9 que la lutte contre le paludisme est une pierre angulaire de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sanitaire mondiale et que les dirigeants africains sont plus d\u00e9termin\u00e9s que jamais \u00e0 mettre fin \u00e0 ce fardeau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
